In this panel discussion, medical reporter Jessica Bartlett brings together oncologists and palliative care experts to discuss some of the fears surrounding cancer diagnosis and treatment. She’ll be joined by Dr. Barrett Rollins, author of ‘In Sickness,’ Dr. Susan D. Block, Physician in the Department of Psychosocial Oncology and Palliative Care, Dana-Farber and Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Dr. Marc. Lippman, Professor of Oncology and Internal Medicine, Georgetown University. The group will address the complicated dynamic between medicine, psychology, and what it means to confront our own mortality.
From the Covid-19 pandemic to HIV/AIDS, Dr. Anthony Fauci navigated a wide variety of national and international health issues throughout his lifetime of public service. That service, which included acting as medical advisor to seven presidents, recently came to a conclusion as he stepped away from his post as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, National Institutes of Health. Globe XX hosts a fireside chat with Dr. Fauci, followed by audience Q&A, to look back on his career and consider what comes next.

Glenda Thomas was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis (MG) in 2013. In 2014, she became an active volunteer member of the New England Myasthenia Gravis Support Group, and is now recognized as a leader in the MG advocacy and patient advocacy community. In addition to a number of accomplishments since her diagnosis, in 2021, she was appointed by the governor of Massachusetts to the Massachusetts Rare Disease Advisory Council as a patient advocate.
